Please browse my site and Instagram to get a feel for my style and abilities. When commissioning an artist, you want to choose someone who is well suited to make your vision come to life. I may not accept every request, and the commissions I take are up to my discretion.

Consultation

Please email your ideas to juliaallenstudio@gmail.com or DM me on Instagram @juliaallenart. Once the design is finalized, I will give you a cost estimate and request a 50% deposit while I work. Please allow 3-4 weeks for commissioned work to be completed and leave the studio.

Materials

I work in sterling silver metal sheet and wire to fabricate. We can talk about options to make the jewelry gold in color, but typically this is expensive and time-consuming. I can set most stones, and you may provide your own stones or choose from my (limited) collection. I will not do wire wrapping projects.

Costs

Custom stamped rings with a word of your choice are $30.

Sterling silver currently costs about $20-25 per troy ounce, or $250-300 per pound. Brass and copper hover around $2-3 per pound. My collection of stones ranges from $5-50. My rate for commissions is $20/hour, and most projects take eight hours or less. 10% overhead is added to cover tools. Expect to pay up to $300 for a commissioned piece.

You always have the option to pay a $50 "one-of-a-kind" fee, which means I will never make that exact piece again for anybody else. It will be completely original and unique to you. If you do not pay this fee, I may use the same design again for someone else, or stock it regularly.
